The fight for the WBC World Championship and the Ring Magazine‘s notional heavyweight title took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on 22 February 2020. Deontay Wilder was the undefeated WBC titleholder. Tyson Fury was undefeated former WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, Ring Magazine and lineal heavyweight champion. Fury won the fight by TKO in the seventh round.
The fight was a rematch after the disputed draw between Wilder and Fury on 1 December 2018.
According to reports, the fight generated about 850,000 pay-per-view purchases in the United States. Ticket sales revenue set a new record for a heavyweight fight in Las Vegas at $16,916,440.
