Canelo Alvarez vs Sergey Kovalev
The fight for the WBO light heavyweight world championship took place on 2 November 2019 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alvarez won the fight by knocking Kovalev out in the eleventh round.
Alvarez made his light heavyweight debut in this fight and became world champion in a fourth weight category by beating defending champion Kovalev.
