Wilder vs Fury
Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury
The fight for the WBC heavyweight world championship took place on 1 December 2018 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Deontay Wilder was the undefeated WBC titleholder. Tyson Fury was undefeated former WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, Ring Magazine and lineal heavyweight champion. The fight ended in a disputed draw (115-111, 112-114, 113-113).
Tyson Fury had lost nearly 150 pounds for the fight, having fought his way back over two build-up fights after a break in the ring of about two and a half years. During this time, he suffered from severe depression and had gained a lot of weight. Unforgotten is the twelfth round, in which Tyson Fury was knocked down and appeared to be knocked out, then suddenly rose up again and fought on.
